Public Workstations

The Music Library has a number of public workstations throughout the facility. Public workstations provide full productivity software (Microsoft Office, etc.) and internet access. In addition, the 15 workstations in the listening/viewing area provide networked access to Sibelius music notation software.

Laptops

The Music Library provides three laptop computers for use in the library. Ask about availability at the Music Library circulation desk. Laptops are available on a first-come/first-served basis and have a 3-hour loan period. Renewals are permitted.

Listening/Viewing

The Music Library maintains a reference collection of audio-visual materials, housed in closed stacks. Circulation staff will page materials for you and you may borrow headphones at the circulation desk to use in the listening/viewing area. The area includes playback equipment for CDs, LPs, audio cassettes, DVDs, and VHS tapes.

Photocopiers

The Music Library has one Ricoh multi-function photocopier/scanner. The copier accepts cash or copy cards. Copy cards cost $1.00 and may be purchased from the card dispenser near the photocopier; value may be added to the card at the dispenser.

Scanning prices:

  • Scanning to a USB flash drive and sending scans to an email account are free

Black and white copies prices:

  • 8.5 x 11: $0.10 per copy with a card; $0.15 per copy with cash
  • 11 x 17: $0.20 per copy with a card; $0.30 per copy with cash

Color copies prices:

  • 8.5 x 11: $0.25 per copy with a card; $0.30 per copy with cash
  • 11 x 17: $0.50 per copy with a card; $0.60 per copy with cash

Printers

The Music Library has one Net-Print printer. (Net-Print requires an account: visit the Library's Net-Print page for quick tips.)

If you require large-format or cash printing, please consult a staff member at the Music Library’s reference desk.

Scanners

Public scanning is available using the Ricoh multi-function photocopier scanner.
