Met Opera on Demand--New Releases (March 24, 2016)

Met Music Director James Levine leads a majestic performance of Wagner's early masterpiece Tannhäuser, in last October's Live in HD presentation now available on Met Opera on Demand: Student Access. Johan Botha sings the title role, opposite Eva-Maria Westbroek as Elisabeth, Michelle DeYoung as Venus, and Peter Mattei as Wolfram, in Otto Schenk's classic production.

This month Met Opera on Demand: Student Access marks two artist anniversaries with the new audio-only releases below: the 65th anniversary of Victoria de los Angeles's Met debut on March 17, 1951 and the 25th anniversary of Renée Fleming's Met debut on March 16, 1991:

-
